English 600 is required for all graduate candidates in English.

As taught by me, this course emphasizes literary research, scholarly writing, and interpretive methodologies.

In addition to exploring many dimensions of research and publication, we will also discuss issues relating to professional development, such as selecting a PhD program, writing grant proposals, book reviewing, and presenting papers at conferences.
